At Home in Gaza and London (2018)

Ten artists living in Gaza or London come together to build a piece from their own everyday lives, as experienced or imagined. Local sites in each city are united by streaming technologies to create mutual performance spaces shared by both sides. The real environments become actors in the piece, be they the private rooms in the participants’ houses, or the streets in between. By merging live video feeds, the artists in one city can appear in the spaces of the other, inhabiting them as a ghostly presences, or intimately merging with the bodies of the distant participants to create new forms.
Audiences in the two cities see the event together and are able to interact with each other.
